A 4 car snarl-up on the N5 just before the Clarence turn off in the Free State claimed the life of one and left 5 others injured one critically so. Details of the accident is still unclear, but it is believed that all the vehicles were driving in the same direction when something went wrong causing three cars and a heavy goods truck to collide .
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and after triaging found that a critically injured man was still trapped in the twisted remains of his vehicle. A male in his 50’s tragically died in this accident, three females sustained serious injuries and 2 people escaped with only minor injuries.
Fireman worked tirelessly to free the critically injured man while paramedics stabilised all the injured. All the patients were transported by ambulance to a provincial hospital in Bethlehem for further treatment.
