An industrial accident in Kajak Street Honeydew this morning tragically claimed the life of a 67 year old man. It is alledged that the man was working with a machine when his body for unknown reason got pull into the rollers.
Netcare 911 paramedics as well as the Netcare 1 medical helicopter were immediately dispatched to the call. When they arrived on scene they found an elderly man with polytraumatic injuries lying in a room near the entrance.
While paramedics were stabilising the patient he went into cardiac arrest. Doctors and paramedics worked fervently for more than 90 minutes to try and resuscitate the critically wounded man but tragically he died on scene.
