Pietermaritzburg ( Howick ) Karkloof towards Rietvlei.
Seven people have been injured after a head on collision between two bakkies on a gravel road in Karkloof Howick this morning.
Emergency personnel arrived on the scene to find the two bakkies in the middle of the road with all the occupants seated on the verge near the two vehicles. Three patients were treated for serious neck and back injuries. The other four were treated for minor lacerations. All patients were stabilised on the scene and transported to various hospitals in the Pietermaritzburg area.
It is unclear who was at fault but the necessary authorities will investigate the accident.
