A 20-year-old matric pupil drowned in a swimming pool near Eldorado Park on Saturday, the Johannesburg emergency services said.
The young man was among a group of 26 pupils who held a matric dance after party at a resort, spokesman Percy Morokane.
“This morning at 6am, he went to one of the swimming pools and dived in. He did not surface.”
Paramedics declared him dead on scene. – Sapa
