At around 18h00 Netcare 911 paramedics raced to the scene of a horror accident along Umhlanga rocks drive. When they arrived they found that a BMW M3 and VW golf collided head on.
A father and his two daughters were travelling in the V W when the accident happened, tragically dad was killed on impact and his two children both sustained critical injuries while the driver of the BMW sustained serious injuries.
The two critically injured children were stabilised on scene and then transported to the Netcare Umhlanga hospital for the critical care that they required. The driver of the other vehicle was stabilised on scene and then transported to the Ghandi hospital for treatment, later the patient was transferred to the Netcare Umhlanga hospital for further medical care.
