While travelling along Voortrekker Road in the vicinity of Salt River near the Salt River Bridge, a Corsa bakkie collided into the back of a Citi Golf.
It is not clear at this stage what caused the accident but it is believed that the bakkie may have been trying to turn in the road. The Golf was knocked in the back towards the left hand corner and was pushed into the concrete wall along the road. The driver of the golf suffered moderate injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. The three occupants of the bakkie, a woman and two men, suffered minor to moderate injuries and they too were taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The Police attended the scene and will investigate the details of the accident.
