A woman and a man in their 40’s have been severely injured after they were flung from their motorbike on Peter Road in Ruimsig. The incident happened shortly before 8pm in between Henrick Potgieter and Van Dalen Streets.
The cause of the driver losing control of the motorbike is not clear, and there had been no other vehicles involved which may have caused the collision. Both of the patients had suffered extensive injuries and were found lying on the opposite side of the road.
Paramedics treated them on scene for multiple broken bones and other traumatic injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Life Flora Hospital for further care.
