2 injured in Sir Lowery’s pass collision

Two people have sustained injuries following a collision between a truck and a car on Sir Lowery’s pass this morning.

The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage, but the truck had allegedly veered out of control before colliding head-on with a passenger vehicle. When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they could see that the collision was severe as both vehicles had sustained substantial damage.

Paramedics identified two individuals, the driver of each vehicle, to be in need of medical attention. The driver of the the passenger vehicle received treatment at the scene for suspected back and neck injuries as well as chest injuries.

The driver of the truck received treatment for suspected back and neck injuries as well as an injury to his shoulder. Both patients were later transported from the scene to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.

Local law enforcement officials attended the scene and will be investigating the incident further.
