Cement truck, minibus taxi and car collide in Vanderbijlpark

Seven people were fortunate to have sustained very minor injuries only following a collision between a car, a cement truck and a minibus taxi in Vanderbijlpark this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene to find that a cement truck, a passenger vehicle and a minibus taxi had all collided in the intersection of Frikkie Meyer and Barrage road.

There was a single occupant only in the truck and passenger vehicle, but a total of five people from the minibus taxi in need of medical attention. Fortunately all the occupants involved sustained minor injuries only in the form of various scrapes and bruises as well as suspected back and neck injuries.

All of the patients received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. Local law enforcement officials did attend the scene and will be investigating the cause of the collision further.
