Two year old saved from drowning

[Pomona, GP 07 June 2012 16:00]

A two year old little boy has been saved from drowning by his six year old sister after he is believed to have fallen into a swimming pool at a complex in Pomona in the East of Johannesburg.

It is not clear as to why the little boy fell into the pool, but we believe that the boy was pulled out after a short period of submersion by his sister. The woman looking after the two children then immediately called for help and started CPR on the boy.

Paramedics arrive to find the little boy was breathing but he was extremely cold. They started stabilizing him on scene and then transported him to the Life Glynnwood hospital for further care. His condition improved dramatically en route to hospital but further assessments will be done in hospital.
