Builder falls two storeys – Broadacres

A man in his 30’s was badly injured after he fell approximately two storeys while working on the side of a house in Broadacres this morning.

ER24 JHB North paramedics arrived on scene at a complex in Broadacres finding the man lying on a pavement an in an extreme amount of pain. He was initially speaking to the paramedics telling them that he had pain in his head, neck and back, and then as they were conducting further assessment and initiating the appropriate treatment the man’s conditions suddenly deteriorated.

The Advanced Life Support Paramedic placed the man on external life saving equipment and AER24 was called in to airlift the man. They made their way to the Life Fourways Hospital by ambulance where AER24 then airlifted the critically injured man to Charlotte Maxeke hospital.
