[PIETERMARITZBURG, KZN – 24 JULY 2012 AT 08H00]
A structural fire in Pietermaritzburg this morning caused the Howick Road to be closed to motorist for some period as the local Fire Department battled the blaze.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the building well alight and with the Fire Department battling the blaze. Black smoke could be seen from all around Pietermaritzburg due to the fire. The road had to be closed to traffic because of emergency personnel busy on the scene. ER24 was on medical standby in case there were any injuries. No Injuries were reported on the scene.
