[HAMMERSDALE, KZN – 01 NOVEMBER 2012 AT 14H55]
A truck driver has sustained moderate injuries after losing control of his truck on the N3 Pietermaritzburg bound just after Hammersdale in the right hand lane this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the truck across the right and middle lane of the freeway with the truck driver lying on the floor. Paramedics assessed the patient and found he had a suspected broken leg and suspected neck and back injuries. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient before he was transported to Hillcrest Hospital for further medical care.
It is unclear why the driver lost control but the necessary authorities were on the scene and would investigate the accident further.
