Three injured in Bredell collision

Three people sustained injuries this afternoon following a two vehicle collisions on the corners of 6th and 4th avenue in Bredell.

The cause of the collision is unclear at this stage, but ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene to find that a BMW had collided into the side of an ISUZU bakkie. The bakkie had veered off of the road following the collision, before colliding with a roadside signpost.

The female driver of the BMW was found to have sustained minor injuries only in the form of scrapes and bruises. The male driver of the bakkie was found to have sustained suspected back and neck injuries as well as a shoulder injury. The female passages had sustained more serious injuries in the form of a large cut to her ear as well as suspected back and neck injuries.

All the patients received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. Local law enforcement officials attended the collision and will be investigating it further.
