Netcare 911 paramedics was called out to the Kilner Park area in Pretoria, after a woman was struck by lightning this afternoon at 15h40.
When they arrived on the scene they found the woman lying on the ground.
The woman verbalised that she was walking down the road, when she was struck by lightning and fell to the ground. Due to the fall, the woman sustained a fracture to her right leg.
The forty-seven-year old woman was treated on scene before being transported to the Steve Biko Academic Hospital for further medical treatment required.
