A worker has died and seven others sustained serious injuries after a bakkie and a car collided in Durban C B D this afternoon. Reports indicate that the bakkie with workers collided with a car at the intersection of Gray and Leopold Streets at around 17h00.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the bakkie had overturned on impact, ejecting the passengers onto the roadway. After the injured were stabelised on scene, medics transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
