Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident scene in Cosmo City, Randburg.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a light delivery vehicle had collided with a minibus taxi.
Six people were injured, two seriously so. The other four people sustained moderate injuries.
All the injured were treated and stabilised on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further care.
Exact details to the cause of the accident are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
