Netcare 911 paramedics and its rescue unit responded to an accident scene on the M2 near the Heidelberg turnoff in Johannesburg this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a heavy goods vehicle and a motor vehicle had collided and that the motor vehicle was pushed against the Armcor barrier.
Miraculously the female driver of the motor vehicle escaped with only minor injuries and after she was treated on scene, paramedics transported her to the Netcare Union Hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear.
