Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a shooting incident in Mayfair, Johannesburg this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found two men had sustained critical injuries.
Both men were treated on scene and rushed to the Netcare Milpark Hospital for further medical care.
Exact details to the cause of the incident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
