Two people have died and another two people have sustained minor injuries after a collision between an articulated truck and a panel van on the N1 south near Tierpoort about 40km outside of Bloemfontein this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the two vehicles off to the side of the road with extensive damage to both vehicles. The paramedics found the two occupants from the panel van still inside the vehicle and entrapped. Unfortunately both occupants, both males had already succumbed to their injuries and were declared deceased on scene.
The driver and passenger of the articulated truck were found walking around on scene and were treated for minor cuts and abrasions. They were transported to Life Rose Park Hospital for further medical care.
The necessary authorities were on scene and would investigate the accident further.
