Two accidents in JHB East leaves two critically injured

Two separate incidents in JHB East this morning has left two young people with critical injuries.

In the first incident, a man in his 20’s suffered extensive and critical injuries after he is believed to have fallen from the second floor of a building while he was painting. The circumstances are not clear but the man was found to have sustained a severe head injury and multiple other injuries and he required Advanced Life Support care. He was placed on external ventilation and was transported by ambulance from the building in Benoni CBD to the Life Glynnwood hospital.

In the second incident, a woman in her 30’s needed immediate life saving treatment after she was knocked down by a vehicle at the corners of High road and Pomona road in Bredell AH, Kempton Park.

The AER24 medical helicopter was called out to transport the woman to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for further care of multiple injuries. No one in the vehicle that collided into the woman was injured in the collision.
