A worker is in a serious condition after a tree branch collapsed and fell on his leg at the pigeon Park in Glenwood this afternoon. Reports indicate that the large branch of a tree broke off and fell twenty meters to the ground severely injuring the man that was walking by under the tree.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the worker lying on the ground with his leg pinned under the large branch and in severe pain. After he was stabelised and deftly immobilized on a trauma board, medics transported him to a Netcare hospital for the care that they required.
