Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an incident at a shopping mall in Germiston this morning just before 10h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a crane fell through the shopping centre’s roof and landed inside one of the shops.
Twenty three people were injured of which two sustained serious injuries. All the injured people were treated on scene before being transported to a nearby Netcare hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident will remain the subject of an investigation.
