Netcare 911 paramedics, the Fire Department and other services responded to an accident on General Louis Botha in Pretoria this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a light delivery vehicle with a trailer were involved and had overturned.
Seven people were injured, two critically so while the other five sustained minor to moderate injuries. One person was entrapped in the vehicle and the fire department had to use the Jaws of Life to free the critically injured person from the vehicle.
All the injured were treated on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
