Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in Bon Accord, Pretoria this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a forty-eight-year old man sustained critical injuries.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift the critically injured man to a medical facility for the urgent medical care that he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
