Just after 7am this morning Rescue Care paramedics were called to Bluff Road just after the KFC for a accident involving a bike and a car.
On arrival paramedics found the injured biker laying in the road way and immediately began treating her. They found she had sustained serious injuries and Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to assist in stabilizing her on the scene. Once the patient was stabilized she was placed on specialized equipment to prevent any further injury before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care that she required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
