Pedestrian Injured In R102 Collision

Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of a collision on the R102 by Glen Anil at 08:00 Tuesday morning.

First to arrive on scene, paramedics found two vehicles, one in the adjacent bush and one on the side of the road. A pedestrian who had been hit by one of the out of control vehicles was found lying next to the road, paramedics immediately assessed the occupants of the vehicles and found luckily no one had sustained injury however the pedestrian had sustained serious injuries. He was immediately fully immobilised on scene before being transported by Crisis Medical ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

At this stage it is unknown what caused the vehicles to collide and will be investigated by the SAPS.
