A motorcyclist believed to be in his early fifties has lost his life after losing control of his motor bike on the R26 about 25km outside of Bethlehem this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the motorcyclist and the bike both off the road down an embankment. Paramedics assessed the patient and found he had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
It is unclear what caused the rider to lose control of his bike as there was no other vehicles involved. The necessary authorities would investigate the incident further.
