Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident on Wadeville Road in Wadeville, Germiston this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a nineteen-year-old woman was in a critical condition after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The injured woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
