Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Ouklip Road in Helderkruin, Johannesburg in the early morning hours of today.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a man believed to be in his early thirties were in a serious condition after his motor vehicle collided with a tree. The man was entrapped in the vehicle and the Jaws of Life had to be used to extricate the injured man from the vehicle.
The man was treated on scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
