Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on the N2 north bound by Prospecton last night.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle with five occupants had overturned. All five occupants were ejected out of the vehicle during the accident.
One man sustained critical injuries and tragically passed away at the scene due to the extensive injuries he sustained. Three women and a man were seriously injured and after they were treated on scene, they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unclear and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
