One man died while two others were injured in an accident on the M13 near the Everton off ramp late last night. Reports indicate that two vehicles traveling on the east bound lane collided, one vehicle then veered into the east bound lane colliding head-on with another vehicle.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the emergency services arrived at the scene and found some of the injured still trapped in the wreckages. After triaging the injured paramedics found two people with critical injuries and one in a serious condition.
While the rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to free the injured paramedics worked fervently to stabilise them . After the injured were treated on scene paramedics transported them to various hospitals in the Durban area for the care that they required, tragically one of the injured died soon after his arrival at hospital.
