Netcare 911 paramedics responded to an accident on the N1 near the Beyers Naude Drive off-ramp this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motorcycle and three motor vehicles were involved in the accident.
The young motorcyclist tragically lost his life during the accident while another man from one of the motor vehicles sustained moderate injuries.
The injured man was treated on scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
