15 Injured in morning collision in KZN

13 people sustained moderate injuries and two others serious injuries when two vehicles collided at Otto Vollek and Nipper Road in New Germany, KZN this morning.

Paramedics and rescue services found that 2 vehicles, a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle, had collided head-on during peak hour traffic.
Multiple patients were found in the rain with injuries ranging from mild to serious.

They were treated and stabelised by paramedics on the scene before being transported to the R.K Kahn Hospital for further treatment.
Nipper Road was closed for traffic to facilitate safe removal of the patients.

Various incidents were reported in the area that could be attributed to wet roads and adverse weather experienced in the province.
