Shortly after 2pm on Saturday ER24 Paramedics responded to a house fire on Herron Street in Atlasville on Johannesburg’s East Rand.
On arrival paramedics found the house well alight with the home owners and neighbours trying desperately to extinguish the blaze.
The fire department arrived shortly after and brought the blaze under control.
ER24 along with other services treated three people on scene for smoke inhalation. They were transported by ambulance shortly after to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
