A three – year- old – Boy has tragically drowned in a Pinetown swimming pool this evening. Reports indicate that the child was found floating in the pool by family at around 18h00, neighbours started resuscitation and called for our assistance.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and immediately took over with advanced life support resuscitation and fervently worked for an hour and fifteen minutes to try and save the little boy. Tragically though despite all their effort the child was declared dead on scene.
Exact detail as to how the child ended up in the pool will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
