Shortly after 4pm, ER24 paramedics received a call for a serious motor vehicle collision on Main Reef Road in Rynsoord.
ER24 paramedics along with Provincial Fire and EMS arrived on scene and found a light motor vehicle with extensive damage on the road side.
Paramedics immediately went to the vehicle and found that the front and one of the back seat passengers, both males in their 20′s, had succumbed to their severe injuries and were declared dead on scene.
The other back seat passenger, a male in his 20′s, was assessed by paramedics and found to have suffered multiple broken bones along with a suspected head injury and was in serious condition, he was stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care by provincial EMS.
The driver of the light motor vehicle was walking around on scene and suffered minor injuries, he was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The local police were on scene and will be investigating all necessary details surrounding the fatal incident.
