One driver of a truck was severely entrapped in his vehicle and two passengers sustained various injuries after the vehicle they were in collided with another truck at the junction of N2 and M7 just after 12pm today.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the driver of the one truck severely entrapped in the wreckage whilst his two passengers were found on the side of the road. Rescue Services were immediately called to assist in cutting the patient free. Paramedics worked quickly to stabilize the injured driver before the jaws of life were used to free him. Once free the patient was carefully extricated before being transported by Rescue Care with his two co workers to St Augustine’s Hospital for further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS will be investigating further.
