Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of a collision on the M41 eastbound before Gateway Shopping Centre at around 17:30 today.

First to arrive on scene, paramedics quickly assessed the scene and established a female driver had sustained suspected neck and back injuries. She was carefully stablished and fully immobilized onto a trauma board before being loaded into a waiting Crisis Medical ambulance and then transported to Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Center for further care.

The cause of the accident at this stage remains unclear however it is believed slowing traffic resulted in 3 vehicles colliding, 1 of which the injured female was driving.
