An eight year old boy sustained moderate injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle on Lansdowne road in Jacobs, south of Durban earlier.
ER24 Durban paramedics and other emergency services arrived on scene to find the young man laying in the roadway, having sustained suspected neck and spinal injuries. He was stablised on scene before being placed on a specialised stretcher and transported by ambulance to a near by hospital for further care.
The local authorities were on scene and are looking into the incident and the events preceeding it.
We wish the young man a speedy recovery.
