Two people were injured, one critically so, after they fell from scaffolding in the Tongaat C B D this afternoon. Exact detail to the cause of them falling will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the workers at an elevated area after they fell several meters. Paramedics and firemen immobilized the patients in specialized stretchers before using a Rope system to lower them to the road level.
After the injured were stabilised at the scene, they were transported to hospital under constant care of an advanced life support paramedic.
