One man tragically died while a female sustained serious injury after their vehicle rolled on the M19 near the Mount Batten Drive off ramp this afternoon at around 12h46. Reports indicate that the vehicle was driving on the M19 towards Durban when the vehicle veered off the road and overturned, its wreckage coming to rest in the fast lane of the West bound lane.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the patients still trapped in the wreckage. While the rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to remove the injured paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilise the elderly lady.
After they stabilised her on scene paramedics transported her to a local hospital for the care that she required.
