One man was killed when his plane crashed into a farm near the M19 in Melkbosstrand, Western Cape.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the farm to find the light aircraft completely ablaze and the surrounding veld burning rapidly. The pilot of the aircraft was killed when the plane crashed into the field and burst into flames.
Provincial services were on scene to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the crash is not yet known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
