Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a pedestrian accident on the R24 near East Gate Mall in Bedfordview last night
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a man was in a critical condition after he was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
After the man was treated on scene he was rushed to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
