A seven-year-old boy died this afternoon when a bakkie collided with him on the M25 on Curnick Ndlovu, Kwamashu.
Paramedics that arrived on the scene found the lifeless body of the boy lying on the side of the road with the bakkie lying on its roof in a nearby ditch. Bystanders explained that the bakkie apparently swerved to avoid colliding with the child and overturned into the ditch, injuring the five occupants inside of it.
The occupants of the bakkie were all treated for minor injuries on the scene before being transported by ER24 and EMRS to Inanda Clinic.
The incident was handed over to the local police on the scene for further investigation.
