Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Western Road in Wendywood, Sandton this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus had overturned resulting in two people tragically losing their lives and multiple people sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
The Netcare1 helicopter was activated to airlift one of the critically injured patients to hospital while the remaining patients were treated on scene and rushed to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
