Seven injured in house fire in Kimberley

Seven people were injured this morning when their house caught alight in Homevale, Kimberly, in the Northern Cape.

Two ER24 ambulancSeven people sustained moderated injuries when their house caught alight in Homevale, Kimberly earlier today.es arrived at the scene to find the hose well ablaze. Provincial services were already on scene, attempting to extinguish the blaze.

Seven people were brought to the waiting ambulances to be treated. One man required advanced life support due to burns and severe smoke inhalation. The six remaining patients sustained only minor smoke inhalation.

Shortly after treatment, all the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.

One of the patients later told paramedics that they all had been sleeping when they heard a loud bang. on the patients inspection, she discovered that the gas heater had apparently burst.

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known and local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
