A nineteen –year-old student at a school in Mooi River sustained serious injuries after he landed under the rear wheel of a tractor this afternoon at around 15h45. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative at present.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after the boy was stabilised and skilfully immobilised on a trauma board they transported him to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg under the constant care of the advanced life support paramedic.
