This morning, paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Service responded to the Umbilo railway station, in Durban, for a report of a person who had been knocked by a train.

Paramedics on board an ambulance and response vehicle responded to the case, just after 07h00 this morning. The paramedics together with several police officers and railway security had to walk to the scene which was between the Umbilo station and Congela station. Sadly the man who was estimated to be about 40 years old was already deceased.

Little other information regarding the case is known and the police are investigating the matter.
