A 27-year-old woman was killed this morning when she was stabbed at a mall in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics responded to the Sanctuary Bridge near the N3 and found a man in his late 20s lying in the slow lane. A group of onlookers had gathered around the man who had sustained severe trauma to his back.
While paramedics were treating him, members of the public alerted ER24 about another patient that lay in the parking lot of a nearby mall.
ER24 paramedics responded to the mall where a woman in her late 20s was lying in a large pool of blood. Two large wounds were visible on her neck.
Paramedics assessed her and discovered that no signs of life were present.
Witnesses on scene said that both incidents were apparently related.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate further.
